FIELD: gas turbine engines.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a gas turbine engine assembly and namely to a flow blocking flap. A flow blocking flap assembly used in a gas turbine engine has a front sheet. The front sheet has a lot of holes to provide noise cancellation. The flow blocking flap assembly also has a body connected to the front sheet. The body has a back sheet made in one piece with honeycomb filler and molded from thermoplastic material.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to adjust the honeycomb structure of the flow blocking flap in accordance with the required technical characteristics as well as to reduce the weight of the flow blocking flap.
