SUBSTANCE: umbrella is formed by an elongated rod having a first end and an opposite second end, and a slider arranged around the elongated rod with possibility of movement. Umbrella includes a spoke assembly including a plurality of spokes which are connected to the runner by a plurality of braces moving between the open and closed positions. According to the present invention, the elongated rod has a cross-section shape defined by a plurality of curved portions and a plurality of flat areas alternating with a plurality of curvilinear portions, in order to provide high strength for twisting for elongated rod. At least one of the spokes can have a cross-section shape defined by a plurality of curved portions and a plurality of flat areas alternating with a plurality of curvilinear portions, in order to provide high strength for twisting for at least one spoke.

EFFECT: proposed is an umbrella with an improved rod and a knot assembly.
