FIELD: radio engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of radio engineering and can be used in differential-range-finding systems for determining the coordinates of radio sources. The technical result is to increase the speed of calculations when measuring the mutual delay of the minimum frequency shift (MSK) of signals of packet radio networks with an unknown law of primary modulation in differential-rangefinder positioning systems due to the use of the feature of MSK signals that the phase increase over the duration of one elementary pulse of the modulating sequence is The essence of the method lies in the fact that the time of arrival of the signal at the receiving point is measured by the time position of the maximum of the posterior probability density, built through the modulus of the resulting cross-correlation function (CCF), calculated using the moduli of the partial CCF of the signal received at the receiving point with four harmonic oscillations of two frequencies duration equal to the duration of the received signal (packet) Тр. In this case, the CCF module is formed by elementary pulses of the modulating sequence, which makes it possible to obtain a narrow peak of the posterior probability density even with an unknown law of primary modulation.
EFFECT: increased computation speed when measuring the mutual delay of the minimum frequency shift (MSK) of radio packet network signals.
