FIELD: radio communication; radar location; measuring equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to microwave equipment; it can be used in radio communication, radar location and measuring equipment for generating electromagnetic vibrations in millimeter and submillimeter wavelength range. The electromagnetic vibration generator contains a resonator consisting of the first, made of two parts, and the second mirrors installed opposite each other with a gap, and a radiating diode installed in a certain way in the waveguide and connected to the parts of the first mirror, each of which is an independent electrode with the formation of a communication loop with the resonator. Directly in front of the radiating diode, a dielectric mesoscale particle with a refractive index in the range of approximately 1.2 to 1.7 is installed, forming a focal area of increased intensity of the electromagnetic field with a cross-section of about 1/3-1/4 of the length of the radiation used. The distance between the outer surface of the particle base and the radiating diode is no more than approximately the length of the focusing area formed by the specified dielectric particle.
EFFECT: increased intensity of electromagnetic vibration radiation of millimeter and terahertz wavelength ranges.
