FIELD: optics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods of focusing optical radiation. Performing the dielectric substrate irradiation with a flat electromagnetic wave, on the shadow side of which a surface periodic inhomogeneity is formed in the form of a phase diffraction grating made of a transparent material with given parameters, wherein Mie and Fabry-Perot resonance modes are simultaneously excited in the phase diffraction grating, and the width of a separate element W of the phase profile of the diffraction grating is selected from the condition W/T>0.5, where T is the grating period.
EFFECT: enabling radiation focusing with dielectric mesoscale structures based on simultaneous excitation of Mie modes and Fabry-Perot resonance with high radiation intensity in the formed photon jet.
