FIELD: pneumatic tools.

SUBSTANCE: pneumatic hammer contains a striker, a cylindrical case, a partition with an axial hole in which the tube is installed and fixed, an annular exhaust chamber formed by a partition, a cylindrical case and a handle case, and a pre-chamber formed by a handle case and a partition. The striker is made with a through axial channel for passing the said tube; it divides the cavity of the cylindrical case into a working stroke chamber on the side of the partition and an idle stroke chamber on the side of the working tool. On the side surface of the striker along the generatrix, a bypass channel is made in the form of a straight channel-groove with a constantly open output to the end of the striker from the side of the working stroke chamber. The bypass channel-groove is made with an output to the side surface of the striker from the side of the working stroke chamber and is provided with its continuation in the form of a drainage channel-groove having a cross-sectional area smaller than the bypass channel-groove and extending to the end of the striker from the side of the idle stroke chamber with the formation of a through-stepped channel-groove, constantly communicating the said working and idle stroke chambers with each other.

EFFECT: as a result, the backpressure of the air in the working and idle stroke chambers is reduced.
