METHOD FOR DETERMINING SLOPE ANGLE OF REFLECTIVE BORDERS ACCORDING TO CDPM-2D DATA Russian patent published in 2021 - IPC G01V1/36 G01V1/28 G01V1/30

Abstract RU 2747628 C1

FIELD: geology.

SUBSTANCE: new method for determining the slope angles of reflecting borders according to the CDPM-2D data is proposed. The method can be used at the stage of detailed processing of the materials of profile seismic exploration performed by means of multiple overlaps. The substance of the proposed method is in the fact that in the lower half-space for any common calculation point (CCP) in the research profile, a sufficiently dense virtual network of possible fixed reflection points (FRPs) is created wherein the values of the established target functions (TFs) are consequently accumulated from the multiple available excitation stations. For this, the wave amplitudes are determined from the calculated travel times of the reflected waves from each ES to each FRP and the corresponding receiving point and based thereon the values of the special target function TF are formed which quantitatively characterizes the accuracy of the assumption made about the reality of the reflectivity of each of the created fixed reflection points by the maximum amplitude increase. Having built a plan of TF value isolines on the created FRP network it is possible to select real FRPs from the local extrema of the field, according to the local coordinates whereof the depths and slope angles of the reflective borders in section under the researched common calculation point (CCP) are determined.

EFFECT: proposed is new attribute of the wave field retrieved which can be used to ensure high-quality processing of seismic exploration data in the field and in stationary conditions which will contribute to improvement of the quality of geological exploration.
