SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of construction, namely, to a method for strengthening weak water-saturated soils of the base for the construction of tape foundations. The method of strengthening the low-strength water-saturated soils of the base of the tape foundation includes a preliminary layout of the surface of the foundation site to the initial project mark of the weak soil, marking the axes of the tape foundation, additional filling of at least one layer of crushed stone with simultaneous layer-by-layer compaction and pressing it into the weak ground of the base with a roller. In the process of compaction and pressing of crushed stone into the ground, two parallel trenches are pushed through, which are symmetrically positioned relatively to the axis of the projected tape foundation under its sole so that the axes of the trenches are located at the edges of the foundation sole. Then the trenches in the process of pushing through are sequentially filled with crushed stone, which is pressed by a roller into the ground to the project depth Ngtm of the hardened zone and the formation of an arched geotechnical massif (GTM), after which the foundation base is filled with crushed stone, aligned and compacted.

EFFECT: increased load-bearing capacity of a weak ground base as a reliable load-bearing base for tape foundations of buildings and structures, providing a more rational approach to the use of territorial, labor and material resources.
