SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medical technology. A method for simulating multi-channel series of observations, including electrocardiograms, is that at the first preparatory stage: the coverage of a multidimensional time series of observations is set, after which the coverage ensemble is formed, the covariance matrix of the coverage ensemble is calculated and the matrix of significant eigenvectors is formed, then the matrix of coefficients of decomposition of the columns of the coverage ensemble matrix in terms of significant eigenvectors is calculated; sufficient statistics of expansion coefficients and intervals between reference points are evaluated; at the second stage of time series simulation of multidimensional observations: a sample of reproduction reference points, a reproduction ratio ensemble matrix of a reproduction ensemble and a reproduction ensemble matrix are generated, after that, the partial reproduction matrices associated with the reference points of reproduction are formed and filled in; the reproduction matrix is calculated and interpolated for the missing discrete-time points.

EFFECT: eliminating the need for an analytical description of the simulated signal and ensuring its statistical similarity to the original one.
