SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of wireless telecommunication systems, in particular to a method (200) for transmitting a signal by a transmitting device to a satellite orbiting around the Earth, with the said transmitting device and the satellite containing wireless telecommunication means. The technical result described below is achieved in that the signal transmitted by the satellite is received (210) by the transmitting device, which is called the presence signal, and the frequency change caused by the influence of the Doppler effect on the presence signal received by the said transmitting device is analyzed (220), a later change in time of the said frequency shift starting from a later predetermined start time of the transmission of the signal to be transmitted by the transmitting device is evaluated (230), and during a predetermined duration of the said signal to be transmitted, preliminary compensation (240) of a later change in time estimated from the frequency shift of the signal to be transmitted is performed, and the signal is transmitted (250) by the said transmitting device from the moment of transmission.

EFFECT: increased efficiency of detecting signals transmitted by transmitting devices, and reduction in collisions between signals transmitted by such transmitting devices.
