SUBSTANCE: in mobile station correlation pulse is generated, when the signal transmitted from base station is detected. The transmitted signal can be reflected or defragged in such a way that mobile station receives multipath propagation signals. It causes distortion in generated correlation pulse and accurate measurement errors in base combined station ("ТОА"). This invention simulates response function and calculates pulse duration using modelling function with dynamically controlled coefficient specifying the point below maximum pulse duration to be calculated. Based on pulse duration calculation multipath propagation signal type can be detected. Corresponding correction coefficient is applied to measured " ТОА " to provide more accurate " ТОА " detection. The system can apply correction coefficients to " ТОА " signals from base stations in cellular telephones or to signals received from global positioning system (GPS).
EFFECT: reduction of error effect of signal time arrival from base combined station.
