FIELD: electrically conductive objects.
SUBSTANCE: the invention can be used to measure displacement and vibration of electrically conductive objects, detect surface defects, measure the thickness of dielectric coatings on an electrically conductive base. The method of eddy-current measurement of physical and mechanical parameters consists in the fact that an eddy-current transducer made in the form of a radio-frequency circuit is placed in the control zone, high-frequency oscillations are formed in the said circuit, the alternating voltage of which is converted into a direct current signal proportional to the measured parameter, in this case, high-frequency sinusoidal oscillations in the radio-frequency circuit are formed by supplying high-frequency oscillations of arbitrary shape with high-stability amplitude and frequency from an external generator through a high-resistance impedance to the radio-frequency circuit of the eddy-current transducer; of the obtained constant voltage, the degree of active losses in the material is determined and the changes in the physical and mechanical parameters of the controlled object are judged.
EFFECT: improves the accuracy of measurement results.
