FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: eddy current control method is based on using an eddy current converter in form of parallel oscillatory circuit, which is periodically connected to a source of stable direct current and disconnected from it to generate characteristic damped oscillations in the oscillatory circuit. Changes in physical and mechanical parameters of the controlled object are determined from the damping value. To measure damping value of the transient process, the following are done: half-wave detection, filtration, integration of all even half-waves of the transient process signal, recording and linearisation of the integrated signal. Switching device, the output of which is connected to the input of the eddy current converter, video pulse driving generator, source of stable direct current, selection-storage unit, contactor, delay element, pulse former, matching amplifier, half-wave detector, two low-pass filters, zeroed integrator, linearisation unit and output voltage conditioner.
EFFECT: increased accuracy, sensitivity, reduced power consumption, simplification.
