FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: inventions refer to control and measuring technique, namely to the ways and devices of electric measurement of non-electric magnitudes and can be used in the industry for control of linear and angular movement, magnitude of vibration of electrically conductive installations etc. The way of eddy current control is based on use of the eddy current converter in the form of the parallel oscillatory circuit which is installed in a control zone, and own damped vibrations are periodically formed in the oscillatory circuit. According to the damping value changes of physicomechanical parametres of controllable installation are assessed. Thus the oscillatory circuit is periodically connected to the charged discharge capacitor for formation of own damped vibrations in the parallel oscillatory circuit, transient phenomena damping value is measured by detecting, filtering and integration of a transient phenomena signal originating in a contour after its each connection to the discharge capacitor. After termination of transient phenomena the oscillatory circuit is disconnected from the discharge capacitor then the discharge capacitor is connected to a source of stable direct voltage through the charging resistor and the discharge capacitor to voltage of a source is again slowly charged.
EFFECT: sensitivity and accuracy increase; decrease of consumed electric power and more simple implementation of the circuit design.
