FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to the use of a polypropylene composition containing at least one heterophasic propylene and a filler for the production of at least partially colored articles that are characterized by both good colourability and good surface appearance. The invention also relates to the colored articles obtained thereby. A polypropylene composition for coatings in the field of automotive applications is proposed, containing (B) heterophasic polypropylene having intrinsic viscosity (IV) DCX> 5.0 dl/g, (D) C2-α-olefin having an MFI at 190 °C / 2.16 kg <0.5 g/10 min, and (C) a mineral filler wherein the polypropylene composition has intrinsic viscosity (IV) DCX ≥ 3.0 dl/g, the ratio of intrinsic viscosity (IV) DCK to the fraction dissolved in cold xylene, which is more or equal to 0.113 dl/(g * wt%), and an MFR at 230 °C/ 2.16 kg in the range from 5.0 to 80 g/10 min.
EFFECT: increased environmental safety, improved surface properties and paint adhesion, as well as improved mechanical properties.
