FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a fibre-reinforced composition (C) containing a heterophase polypropylene composition (HECO), fibres (F) and an adhesion promoter (AP), as well as to an article containing said fibre-reinforced composition (C). Fiber-reinforced composition (C) for preparing an article made by injection moulding contains: a) from 60.0 to 85.0 wt.% of a heterophase polypropylene composition (HECO) containing i) a matrix which is a propylene homopolymer (hPP) having amount of 2,1-erythro-regiodefects of at least 0.4 mol.%, and ii) an elastomeric ethylene copolymer (E) dispersed in said matrix, b) from 12.0 to 35.0 wt.% of fibres (F), which are glass fibres (GF) or carbon fibres, and c) from 0.5 to 4.0 wt.% adhesion promoter (AP), which is a polar modified polypropylene homo- or copolymer (PM-PP), based on the total weight of the fibre-reinforced composition (C), wherein fibre-reinforced composition (C) has melt flow index MFR2 (230°C, 2.16 kg), determined according to ISO 1133, from 1.0 to 60.0 g/10 min. Described also is an article made by injection moulding, which includes a fibre-reinforced composition.
EFFECT: providing a fibre-reinforced composition characterized by heat deformation properties and low level of harmful emissions, while tensile strength and elongation at break remain at a high level.
