FIELD: automotive product.
SUBSTANCE: invention is related to a foam product. A foam product suitable for automotive applications includes a polypropylene composition (K) containing: i) from 55.0 to 95.0 wt.%, based on the total weight of the composition, of a heterophasic propylene copolymer (HECO) having a melt flow rate MFR2 measured according to ISO 1133 at 230°C and 2.16 kg, from 5.0 to 50.0 g/10 min, ii) from 5.0 to 45.0 wt.%, based on the total weight of the composition, of propylene random copolymer (RC) and at least one comonomer selected from the group of C4-C10 alpha-olefins, which is synthesized in presence of a single site catalyst having a melt flow rate MFR2 measured in accordance with ISO 1133 at 230°C and 2.16 kg, from 0.1 to 10.0 g/10 min, comonomer content from 0.1 to 5.0 mol.% and the content of the cold xylene soluble (CXS) fraction, determined at 23°C in accordance with ISO 16152, from 0.1 to 7.5 wt.%.
EFFECT: polypropylene composition from which the foamed product is made has excellent foaming ability in combination with a good balance of mechanical properties of the foam parts and can be obtained by combining a certain heterophasic propylene copolymer with a certain propylene copolymer.
