SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the light industry, in particular to products for the care of animals, mainly for cats, and is intended for use when sharpening claws, as a bed for a cat and for playing a cat. A cat scratching post contains a block for sharpening claws made in the form of a honeycomb paper filler (1), in a compressed state having the shape of a rectangular parallelepiped. The honeycomb core paper sheets have top cutouts, and the cell size of the honeycomb core paper is 4-40 mm when stretched. The honeycomb paper filler is fastened on opposite sides to the plates (2) and is made with the possibility, after stretching the honeycomb paper filler (1) in the direction of the plates (2) and with rotation relative to the edges of the sheets on one side, to take the shape of a circular cylinder and at least one annular groove (3) on the base of a circular cylinder, in each of which a ball (4) is installed with the ability to move in the groove. In this case, the plates (2) are made with the possibility of fastening to each other.

EFFECT: provides small dimensions of the assembled scratching post for cats and ease of transportation, as well as provides the ability to actively play the cat on the scratching post, the cat lying and sharpening the claws on this scratching post.
