FIELD: mechanical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to rail transport, namely to the structure of an articulated hopper car. The hopper car consists of a chassis (1), automatic coupler equipment (2), two adjacent sections (3), each of which consists of a body (4), which is mounted on a frame (5). The frames (5) of the two sections of the hopper car are adjacent and connected by an articulated device for articulating the cars and rest in the area of the articulation device (6) on a common bogie. The device (6) of the hinge type for connection of cars includes a center plate and a hinge part, while the center plate part consists of a center plate, a shank and a body. Inside the cavity of the body of the center plate, the lower and upper liners are installed, to the inner spherical surfaces of which a ball is tightly held, held by a clamping flange fixed on the body, and having a shaft of variable cross-section in height, the axis of symmetry of which coincides with the axis of the hole made in the ball from the opposite side from the shaft and is the geometric center of rotation of the trolley. The ball shaft is rigidly fixed in the drive element of the hinge part. In the version of the hopper car, the shaft is made of a conical shape and is fixed in the hinge part by a transition sleeve having a conical mating surface.
EFFECT: invention simplifies the manufacture, increases the reliability and maintainability of the structure.
