FIELD: communication networks.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the systems of granting access at the final section of the communication network. The device contains an optical-to-electrical (hereinafter – OE) component made with the possibility to convert an optical signal in the first modulation format into an analog electrical signal, an analog-to-digital converter (ADC) connected to OE-component and made with the possibility to convert an analog electrical signal into the first digital signal, and clock and data recovery (CDR) subsystem connected to OE-component and made with the possibility to equalize the first digital signal to the second digital signal with the second modulation format, in which the second modulation format has more levels than the first modulation format, and to perform CDR for the second digital signal.
EFFECT: providing the clock and data recovery (CDR) of advanced level in passive optical networks.
