FIELD: antenna technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to antenna technology, in particular to the field of antenna measurements and is used to measure antenna gain. The technical result of the invention is to increase the accuracy of measuring the antenna gain, while simplifying the measurement procedure and reducing the measurement time. The technical result is achieved in that a device for measuring the antenna gain in a wide frequency band, containing a vector network analyzer, a personal computer, a calibration reflector and a test antenna, differs from the prototype in that the calibration radar reflector is made in the form of a reflective metal screen located in the near the antenna zone, a planar scanner is introduced, on the moving part of which the antenna under study is located, and the moving part of the scanner, connected to a personal computer, moves the antenna away from the reflecting screen perpendicular to its plane, while the vector network analyzer, the high-frequency output of which is connected to the antenna input, automatically measures the reflection coefficient from the antenna input in a wide frequency band at each new position of the moving part of the scanner relative to the reflector and transmits the measurement results to the digital input of a personal computer, where an averaged high-precision calculation of the coefficient is performed antenna gain.
EFFECT: invention increases the accuracy of measuring the antenna gain, while simplifying the measurement procedure and reducing the measurement time.
