FIELD: aircraft engine construction.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to aircraft engine construction, in particular to control of the shut-off rotary valve of compressed air (gas) flow supplied as a working medium to an air-turbine starter, which is used to start a gas turbine engine of aircraft or ground equipment. A device for controlling the air starter of a gas turbine engine, located at the inlet to the air starter, has a body with a damper fixed by means of a bolted connection on its axis and made rotary with a drive from an electromechanical mechanism, and a stop connected to the body by means of a flange connection to fix the position of the rotary damper in a closed position, a return mechanism with a wrench hole, bolted to the body to ensure the transmission of torque, an electromechanical mechanism attached to the body through a flange connection and spline connection to the axis of the butterfly valve, to an electric motor, a planetary gearbox and an electromagnet for controlling a planetary gearbox, an automatic control and monitoring system for a gas turbine engine. In addition, the device consists of a pressure sensor located at the outlet of the rotary flap with the ability to control the air pressure at the inlet to the air starter and control the drive from the electromechanism of the rotary flap, the electric motor of the electromechanism is made as a contactless valve, additionally contains a control and monitoring unit built into, for example, an electromechanism either into the automatic control and monitoring system of the gas turbine engine, or made as a separate unit.
