FIELD: converter technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of converter technology, in particular to drivers of thyristor keys consisting of counter-parallel thyristors. The driver of the thyristor key contains the driver of the first thyristor, including power source [1], driver voltage control unit [2], amplifier [5], opto-coupler [6], logic unit [11], thermal protection unit [16], and opto-emitter [18]. Additional channel of the control circuit of second thyristor [10] is formed by high-frequency converter unit with transformer output [8], rectifier unit [9], first current monitoring unit [3], second current monitoring unit [4] and third current monitoring unit [14].
EFFECT: increased reliability by using a driver to control a bidirectional thyristor key, as well as the implementation of current control of the thyristor key.
