FIELD: paper industry; metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to improved cores and to methods for improving the interaction between cores and elements interacting with the core to reduce or eliminate the core damage or operational problems. The invention can be used in various industries, including the paper industry, the production of linings, the production of sheet metal, as well as in any industry related to the winding or unwinding of materials carried on cores. The invention is improved core (10) for mounting on one or more elements interacting with the core, such as a pair of clamps (52), and a method for creating improved core (10). Core (10) is made with the ability to wind the material on it and unwind it. Core (10) contains coating (70) with high-friction coefficient located on inner surface (12) of core (10) to improve the “core-clamp” interaction.
EFFECT: increased reliability and operational characteristics.
