FIELD: paper industry; rewinding of paper rolls. SUBSTANCE: at surface winding of roll material to form roll, material at end of winding is divided to form free rear edge and free front edge designed to form following roll. Completely wound roll is unloaded from winding zone and placed onto gluing device providing application of glue onto wound up material. In process of unloading of roll, free rear edge is wound on again to cover glue- coated section. EFFECT: reduced overall dimensions and improved reliability of device in operation. 18 cl, 11 dwg
