FIELD: mechanical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of mechanical engineering. The multi-row roller chain contains solid pins, identical plates. In the holes of each plate, on one side, two identical bushings are fixedly installed, which, protruding from the multidirectional plates with their ends towards each other, are movably mounted on the rollers and form hinges with them. Between the plates, for every two adjacent bushings, a movable roller is installed, which closes the hinges and is a distance element. The plates are located symmetrically about the common axis of the chain. The number of multidirectional plates is the same and equal to the number of rows for a chain with an even number of rows and one less than the number of rows for a chain with an odd number of rows. Moreover, for a chain with an odd number of rows in the central row, between the unidirectional plates, a bushing and a roller are installed on the roller. The diameter of the hinges is determined from the condition of the required bending strength of the roller, the roller for shear and the placement of the roller between the teeth of the sprocket.
EFFECT: provided is increased chain life.
