FIELD: ceramics.
SUBSTANCE: method for manufacture of ceramic tiles wherein said ceramic tiles have a ceramic base layer and a cover glaze layer with a printed image. The method includes the following stages: forming a ceramic base layer; providing a cover glaze layer on said ceramic base layer; digitally printing an image on said coating glaze layer; forming a relief with structural elements corresponding with said printed image; burning the ceramic base layer with the coating glaze layer having a printed image. The cover glaze layer at least contains a layer of uniformly colored glaze located underneath said printed image, and said relief is formed on the surface of said cover glaze layer before said burning stage and/or simultaneously with said burning stage. The relief is generally formed in form of multiple recesses present in the substantially flat top surface of the ceramic tile, wherein the structural elements are of such a depth that they are located entirely above said ceramic base layer.
EFFECT: expanded range of technical means of manufacture of relief tiles.
