SUBSTANCE: proposed is a power phase module for a modular alternate current converter. The technical result is achieved by the power phase module has no less than one first pair of direct current connecting leads on the end side of the power phase module with corresponding connecting elements for connecting to a pair of current-conducting buses located at a distance from the first pair of direct current connecting leads and a first pair of direct current capacitor leads connected parallel thereto on the end side with corresponding connecting elements for connecting to an intermediate circuit capacitor module associated with the power phase module. The power phase module also has a first alternate current connecting lead on the other side of the power phase module, a switching apparatus connected to the first alternate current connecting lead and the first pair of direct current connecting leads for converting a direct current voltage applied in one operating state to the first pair of direct current connecting leads into the alternate current voltage generated at the first alternate current connecting lead, or vice versa, and a cooling apparatus for extraction of heat from the power phase module, primarily from the switching apparatus. Additionally, proposed are an alternate current converter and a vehicle, primarily a rail vehicle.
