FIELD: agriculture.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to agriculture, in particular to the regulation of crop yields. The crop yield enhancement composition contains sugars applied in the field before planting or during planting by applying to the soil in an amount of at least 25 pounds per acre (11.34 kg/0.405 ha) and not exceeding 250 pounds per acre (113.4 kg/0.405 ha), regardless of the form used, solid or liquid. Monosaccharides, and/or disaccharides, and/or polysaccharides are used as sugars. Depending on the form and/or type of sugars used, the application can be carried out by spreading in the case of solids or by spraying in the case of liquids. Sugars can be added to the furrow either individually or in combination with a common fertilizer.
EFFECT: proposed composition for increasing productivity and the method of its application provide favorable soil conditions for the growth and development of agricultural crops, do not have a negative impact on the environment, provide the delivery of an easily digestible carbon source of energy for the growth of soil microflora, and are an environmentally friendly way to stimulate plant growth.
