SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods for treating a diamond coating of metal parts and can be used for the production of microelectronic elements, power optics of lasers with high radiation power, parts of the fuel equipment of internal combustion engines, surgical scalpels, razors, bearings, various tools and many other products operating under conditions of increased friction and wear. The method of polishing the surface of a diamond coating of parts includes friction treatment of the coating surface by interaction of the coating surface with a rotating and longitudinal feed tool. A cup-shaped metal brush with frequency of its rotation of 2000 rpm is used as a tool, while the axis of rotation of the metal brush is set perpendicular to the surface to be treated.
EFFECT: as a result, the homogeneity of the microrelief on the treated surface is increased and the possibility of metal adhesion to the treated surface is limited.
