FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to surface treatment of polycrystalline diamond coatings obtained by chemical deposition from gas phase, and can be used for production of microelectronics elements, power optics of lasers with high radiation power, parts of fuel equipment of internal combustion engines and other items operating under conditions of increased friction and wear. Method of polishing the surface of polycrystalline diamond coating of parts obtained by deposition from a gas phase, includes treatment of friction parts surface by interaction of parts coating surface with rotating metal counterbody. Counterbody used is a metal brush. Parts with machined surface are tightly fitted in one row and their coating is successively processed for passage in forward and reverse directions.
EFFECT: possibility of multiple parts machining for passage and limitation of stock removal during polishing of surface of said coating.
