SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method (100) for recognizing the wheel (1) of a rail vehicle, as well as to a layout scheme for recognizing the wheel (1) of a rail vehicle. For this purpose, by means of the signal (4) of the passage of the identified wheel (1) of the rail vehicle, using the load measuring device (3) located on the rail (2), the specified code (5) of the recognition of the wheel (1) of the rail vehicle is recorded (110), and the signal (4) of the passage characterizes the change in time of the rail load (6) to the rail (2) equipped with the load measuring device (3) during the passage of the identified wheel (1) of the rail vehicle, moreover, the specified recognition code (5) contains one or more fixed identification parameters/values (8), respectively, using the signal (4) of the passage of time-independent identification parameters / values (8). The fixed specified recognition code (5) of the identified wheel (1) of the rail vehicle is compared (120) with one or more specified control codes (9) of wheel recognition (1) of the rail vehicle and by comparison (130) the wheel (1) of the rail vehicle is (120) identified.
EFFECT: result is a simpler, more economical, safer and more reliable recognition of rail vehicles during their monitoring.
