FIELD: transport.

SUBSTANCE: invention set relates to current control of railway trains in which block with roller bearing holder instrument is used to detect causes of unsatisfactory characteristics at the level of wheels set, truck, freight car or train. The system contains car body and multiple trucks, one or more sensing units each one of which contains carrier pad located between wheel set and corresponding truck. The system also contains one or more sensors located on the pad, computing element programmed to control read out sampling frequency and interval and to analyse acquired read data, and communication unit, data control element. In this method, pads are installed between wheels and mobile wheel modules bodies where the pads contain built in sensors for measuring performance of mobile wheel modules, as well as computing element programmed to control read out sampling frequency and interval for each sensor is installed. Then computing facility for evaluation of measured performance and for identification of operation mode based on measured performance which is considered to be adequate to generate alarm signal is installed on pads. After this, messages identifying only the mode that is adequate to generate alarm signal are sent to primary engine.

EFFECT: better continuous monitoring of behaviour and state of railway car wheel carts, wheels and bearings.
