SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of communications. The method includes determining a sequence configuration of an uplink control channel of a terminal device, the sequence configuration of an uplink control channel having at least one of an initial cyclic shift value, a cyclic shift difference value, and a number of cyclic shift values. Based on the sequence configuration of the uplink control channel, at least two cyclic shift values of the uplink control channel sequence are determined; and using at least one of the at least two cyclic shift values.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to determine the set of cyclic shift values in such a way that the sets of configurations of physical uplink control channels (PUCCH) are reduced, thereby reducing the overhead of the physical layer, increasing the flexibility of the configuration of the PUCCH resources in conditions of limited overhead for indicating the physical layer.
