The detector detects the appearance of each pedestrian at a pedestrian crossing. The information received is analyzed with the help of the control device and the position of the pedestrian at the crossing is determined. Then the received information about the location of the pedestrian is transmitted to the information device to inform the drivers of approaching vehicles. A screen device is used as an information device. It is located above the pedestrian crossing with the possibility of unhindered passage of vehicles under it. In this case, the actual position of the pedestrian on the road, depicted in the form of a conventional figure, is displayed on the screen device in real time. The screen device is located over the entire width of the road and over the sections adjacent to it on both sides, and the information on the screen device is displayed on its two opposite sides, informing drivers of opposite directions.
