The filter cartridge contains a direct-flow structure, including a packing having a first inlet end and an opposite second outlet end, and a housing seal located at one end of the packing and enclosing a central flow opening. The housing seal comprises a radially directed surface of the housing seal that covers the central opening and is characterized by the presence of a section containing at least two segments projecting radially outward relative to the specified opening, and at least one segment directed radially inward and located between at least two radially outward projecting segments.
