FIELD: air cleaning.

SUBSTANCE: filter cartridge comprises a filtering packing and a sealing structure of the housing, connected to the filtering packing, comprising a seal support having a surface, a sealing element, supported by the seal support and having a radially directed sealing surface and a thickness between the surface of the seal support and the radially directed sealing surface, which varies along sealing element surface. Thickness between seal support and radially directed sealing surface varies in radial direction and is generally constant in axial direction. Filter assembly comprises housing having inlet and outlet channels for gas flow and comprising main section, having access cover, sealing structure of housing in form of wavy wall and filter cartridge, functionally removable located inside housing and compacted with sealing structure of housing in form of wavy wall. Method of servicing the filter assembly involves inserting a filter cartridge into the housing and forming a seal between the sealing element and the sealing structure of the housing in the form of a wave-like wall.
