SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for controlling a vacuum interrupter drive in an opening mode, in which the opening movement of at least one movable contact is divided into successive phases, an opening phase and an isolation phase performed at at least two different speeds. In order to control the opening movement of the vacuum interrupter so that in the case of a low load, the inductive energy of the complete electrical circuit is more efficiently damped, according to the invention, in the opening and / or disconnecting phase, the speed of the opening movement is lower than in the isolation phase.
EFFECT: invention reduces the magnitude of voltage surges during possible re-ignition of the discharge.
