FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of production of spherical propellants using water-dispersion technology and is intended to determine the rheological characteristics of the powder varnish in the formation phase. A tripod penetrometer, including a tripod with a foot, a body with a ruler, a cylindrical bowl, a rod with a stop and an indenter, a stand, is distinguished by the use of interchangeable rods with stops and perforated discs with diameters in the range of 25-40 mm with cylindrical and conical holes with a diameter of 4 mm, spheres with diameters in the range of 12-26 mm and cones with diameters in the range of 7.9-16.6 mm, a height of 20-30 mm and corners at the tops in the range of 15-45°, depending on the consistency of the powder varnish and the immersion depth rod with stop and indenter in powder lacquer up to 90 mm.
EFFECT: ability to quickly and less laboriously determine the depth of immersion of the rod with a stop and an indenter into the powder varnish without interrupting the varnishing operation necessary for solving various technological problems.
