FIELD: brakes.
SUBSTANCE invention relates to an energy absorbing apparatus for protective and catching nets and/or for rope structures. The brake for a net and/or rope structure has a brake unit (12a-d) comprising at least one deflecting element (14a-d) and at least one braking element (16a-h), passing around the deflecting element (14a-d) at least in a certain section and provided for at least partial absorption and/or conversion of kinetic energy in at least one case of loading, primarily an impact. A connecting unit (18a-d) provided for attachment of the braking unit (12a-d) in at least one point (40a) of application, wherein the braking element (16a-h) is directed around the deflecting element (14a-d) and in the case of loading is loaded for tension so that the braking element (16a-h) is pulled around the deflecting element (14a-d) and is thereby deformed. According to the invention, the braking element (16a) comprises at least one first braking section (24a) and at least a second braking section (26a), wherein the braking sections (24a, 26a) differ at least relative to local load capacity, and the first braking section (24a) comprises at least one recess (28a) of the material, primarily an elongated hole.
EFFECT: technical result is a brake applicable for protective and catching nets and for rope structures.
