FIELD: production of wire meshes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of protective networks and can be used for wire braiding. Wire braiding has several woven spiral threads, of which at least one spiral thread is made of at least one separate wire, one bundle of wires, one wire strand, one wire rope and/or one other longitudinal element with at least one wire made primarily of high-strength steel. Wire is made without fracture bent and unbent at least M times under condition of its testing for bending and extension around at least one bending cylinder at angle of at least 90° in opposite directions. Dependence for M value determination depending on wire diameter and wire tensile strength is given.
EFFECT: high load-carrying capacity of the wire mesh.
