FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the technology of isotopic materials, in particular to a method for producing nickel oxide 62NiO by thermal conversion of nickel dimethylglyoximate [62Ni(DMGH)2]. The method includes mixing nickel dimethylglyoximate with oxalic acid dihydrate at a weight ratio of nickel dimethylglyoximate and oxalic acid from 1:0.5 to 1:0.55, adding alcohol in an amount of 3 to 4 ml per gram of solid components, stirring the resulting viscous-flowing mass for one and a half to two hours, heating to 80-90°C, keeping it at this temperature until the weight loss stops, heating the formed intermediate product to 250-260°C and keeping it at this temperature for one and a half to two hours, raising the temperature to 400-450°C and calcining at this temperature until the end of the change in the weight of the obtained nickel oxide.
EFFECT: increased yield of nickel oxide during thermal conversion of dimethylglyoximate.
