FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of electrical engineering, namely to transport engineering, in particular to cooling schemes of combined power plants intended for buses and light trucks. A cooling scheme for a combined power plant of a sequential type, consisting of two subsystems, is proposed. The first subsystem includes a traction electric engine (TEE) and its inverter, a generator inverter, an electric pump powered by a low-voltage vehicle network, a radiator, and an expansion tank. The second subsystem consists of a radiator, an expansion tank, a pump that provides the flow of coolant through all the elements of the subsystem, the drive of which is carried out by taking power from the crankshaft of the internal combustion engine (hereinafter – ICE) and two parallel branches. The first branch for cooling the ICE includes the ICE cooling system. The second branch for cooling the generator consists of a generator cooling jacket and an intermediate heat exchanger, providing a lower temperature regime of the second branch, necessary for the generator to operate at maximum capacity.
EFFECT: invention is aimed at simplifying the system and reducing the energy consumption of auxiliary equipment when driving a vehicle in zero-emission mode by combining the cooling circuits of the ICE and the generator.
