SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of radio engineering, in particular to methods and techniques of nonlinear radar and can be used to search and detect objects with nonlinear electrical properties (ONEP). According to the present method, to generate N linear frequency modulated (LFM) signals, the frequency of the reference oscillator is divided by N!/ n. The first signal is used as a probing signal, and the others as reference LFM signals for the (N-1) receiving channels. Probing LFM signals with a Ti repetition period are emitted in the direction of an object with nonlinear electrical properties. When they are reflected, the receiving antenna receives frequency components that are multiples of the harmonic numbers . The signal at the second harmonic is converted in frequency, folded over the spectrum, after which it takes on the value of the difference frequency, which is directly proportional to the distance to the ONEP. In the receiving channels, coherent overperiodic summation (accumulation) of difference frequency signals is carried out.

EFFECT: detection of ONEP of various kinds (p-n-p junction, metal-oxide-metal, compounds of plastic with heavy metals, etc.) and increasing the range of nonlinear radar.
