FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: method is realised by creating surveillance nonlinear radar which, at a long range, detects and measures coordinates of controlled explosive devices independently in each range resolution element. Longer detection range is provided due to resonant excitation of the sought objects and use of parametric effects which arise in nonlinear elements of controlled explosive devices when exposed to a powerful electromagnetic field, and measurement of their location is provided by using complex multi-range broadband probe signals with a large base in order to improve range resolution, and by realisation of mono-pulse techniques of measuring angular directions using a discrete set of multi-range receiving antennae.
EFFECT: providing safe remote detection of controlled explosive devices with high range resolution and virtually instantaneous and precise positioning thereof.
