FIELD: radio electronics, in particular, short-range radio electronics, applicable in collision avoidance and motion monitoring systems.
SUBSTANCE: the method consists in radiation of a continuous frequency modulated sounding signal reception of the reflected signal in one or several space positions, multiplication of the received and radiated signals and computation of the functions of correlation of the obtained homodyne and reference signals, formed their harmonics of the modulating signal. The speeds of the objects are computed according to the frequencies and phases of periodic and component functions of correlation and secondary ones computed functions from them, range-either according to the characteristic of the homodyne signal, or according to the number of the reference signal in the time set, and the angular co-ordinated - according to the difference of the phases of the reflected signals and signals received in different positions. The system has an antenna feed system, homodyne transceiver device, correlometer conditioning the reference signals and computing the correlation functions and the secondary functions, and a processor conditioning the modulating signal and computing the speeds and the co-ordinates of objects.
EFFECT: provided the maximum range, resolving power and accuracy of measurements and co-ordinates of objects at the minimum cost sufficient for the purpose of safety of traffic.
