FIELD: engines.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of adjusting the speed and power of a gas turbine engine propeller according whereto at least two operation modes are applied: one mode, called the "speed mode", wherein the installation angle (β) of the propeller is controlled depending on the required speed of the propeller, wherein fuel consumption is controlled depending on the required torque; another mode, called "the β mode", where fuel consumption is controlled depending on the required propeller speed, wherein the installation angle (β) of the propeller is fixed at the value of the lock angle (βmin) limiting the propeller installation angle in both operation modes, wherein the lock angle (βmin (t)) is calculated and updated continuously during the flight depending on the parameters related to the flight conditions and estimated in real time. The object of the invention is also a gas turbine engine containing processing tools utilising the described adjustment method.
EFFECT: invention allows the propeller to be guaranteed to remain in a thrust operation mode.
