FIELD: chemical industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the chemical industry. First, fullerene C60 with purity of 97-99% is mixed with sodium hydroxide in a ratio of 1:20 and the resulting mixture is combined with hydrogen peroxide until the reaction stops. The reacted mixture is heated to 80±5°C. It is stirred until it is evaporated to a pasty state at the rate of 18-20 hours for every 100 ml of hydrogen peroxide. Distilled water is added to the resulting pasty mass at the rate of 900 ml per 1 g of the original fullerene. After that, the solution is neutralized with hydrochloric acid to a pH of 9.00 - 0.05. Anhydrous calcium chloride is added to the neutralized solution, heated to 95±5°C, cooled to room temperature, settled and filtered through a blue ribbon-type paper filter located in a Buchner funnel or Wurtz flask. Re-filtration can be carried out through a conical funnel. The product remaining on the filter is rinsed with acetone, removed for drying, dried and treated with sulfuric, hydrochloric or nitric acid to obtain fullerenol. The method can be implemented on an industrial scale on the basis of specialized chemical-technological laboratories.
EFFECT: manufacturability of fullerenol synthesis is enhanced by increasing productivity and reducing the number of technological operations while maintaining the quality of the target product.
