FIELD: medicine, cardiology in particular.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to cardiology and cardiac surgery, and can be used to predict the left atrial volume index in the long-term two-year period after percutaneous coronary intervention in acute coronary syndrome. The method includes determining the surface area of the patient's body, determining by echocardiographic method the final diastolic volume of the left ventricle, mitral valve insufficiency, the thickness of the interventricular septum, determining the lesion of the trunk of the left coronary artery by coronary angiography, determining the level of achieved blood flow and the volume of the operation performed during stenting of the coronary artery, determining the total level of cholesterol and the MB fraction of creatine phosphokinase in the blood test, determining the presence/absence of a pathological Q wave on an electrocardiogram. Then the volume index of the left atrium is calculated by the formula:

where: LAVI - predicted index of left atrial volume after 2 years, ml/m2; BSA1 - body surface area, m2; MVI1 - mitral valve insufficiency; TIMI - assessment of blood flow achieved during percutaneous coronary intervention on the TIMI scale; LCA trunk - lesion of the left coronary artery trunk according to coronary angiography,%; TCc1 - total cholesterol level in the blood test, mmol/l; Q - presence/absence of a formed pathological Q-wave, the presence of a formed pathological Q-wave is estimated at 2 points, and its absence is estimated at 1 point; EDV1 - the end diastolic volume according to echocardiography, ml; IST1 - the thickness of the interventricular septum, mm; CFK-MB-the level of the MB fraction of creatine phosphokinase in the blood test, Units/l.
EFFECT: method makes it possible to forecast the left atrial volume index of the patient for a two-year period by using the specified diagnostic criteria.
