FIELD: adhesive compositions.
SUBSTANCE: proposed is an adhesive composition comprising a first component containing one or more epoxy-containing compounds and a second component chemically reacting with the first component, wherein the second component comprises a polythiol hardening agent and an alkanolamine, wherein the polythiol hardening agent is present in the second component in an amount sufficient to provide a ratio of epoxy functional groups of the first component to thiol functional groups of the second component within the range of 1.5:1 to 5:1. Also proposed is a method for forming an adhesive connection between two substrates.
EFFECT: proposed adhesive composition provides improved strength characteristics of the adhesive connection produced using said composition.
